Accessibility

At The Lenbrook, we’re committed to providing an inclusive and comfortable experience for all our guests, regardless of physical ability or access needs. The Lenbrook is conveniently located just north of Blackpool town centre on Lord Street. It is a 4 minute walk to the Promenade, 6 minutes to the North Pier, and a 10-minute walk from the town centre.

Being an old building, The Lenbrook retains period features, and while we strive to accommodate all our guests, some of these features may pose accessibility challenges for individuals with limited mobility. With rooms situated on different levels, there are steps both into the building and between floor levels. Regrettably, we do not have any ground floor bedrooms, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users.

Physical Access

Our entrance has one step into the building. The Bar and Lounge is located on the ground floor. Our bar is fully licensed and open to both residents and non-residents. There is no public toilet on this level and our nearest toilet is one the first floor and can be accessed via steps only (14 steps). We have standard size doorways in our bar and dining area.

Guest rooms are located on the second and third floors and are accessible via stairs. We regret that our guest rooms may not be suitable for guests with mobility impairments, but we are happy to discuss specific requirements before your stay.

Room Features

Our bedrooms are set up as either Double, King or Twin rooms. If you would like specific details about our rooms, please contact us. There are 15 carpeted steps (12+3) leading to bedrooms One and Two. There are 15 steps (12+3) to reach bedroom Three and a further single step down to reach bedroom Four. There are an additional 14 carpeted steps which lead to rooms on the second floor (Four, Five & Six). A handrail is provided on the stairs for your convenience. Please note, there is no lift available. All bedrooms have standard doorways. Beds are accessible from both sides, except for room Three where it is against the wall.

Bathrooms

All our rooms feature either an ensuite or private bathroom. These are equipped with a shower, toilet, and sink. All our bathrooms have standard taps which twist to open and close. All bathrooms have electric showers. There is a small step to enter the shower, and the height of this step will vary in each room. We do not have any bathrooms with a bath.

Parking & Arrival

There are four car parking spaces to the left of the building. We’re happy to offer assistance with luggage or arrival needs.

Sensory & Neurodivergent-Friendly Considerations

We aim to create a calm and supportive environment. If you need quiet spaces, early check-in, or anything to reduce sensory stress, please let us know in advance.

Assistance Animals

Registered assistance dogs are welcome but we ask that we are notified in advance of your arrival and at the time of booking.

Fire Alarm & Fire Extinguishers

Fire call points are in the main hallway on each landing. In the event of a fire alarm (a continuous siren), guests will be instructed to vacate the building via the main entrance. Fire extinguishers are situated in the main hallway and on each landing. Each bathroom is equipped with sounder beacons and strobes. Guests are kindly asked to inform us of any hearing impediments so that we can provide appropriate assistance during emergency evacuations.

Our team is trained to communicate clearly and respectfully. If you need documents or information in a different format (e.g., large print), we’ll gladly provide it. Feel free to contact us ahead of time to discuss any specific communication needs.
